LIANA CROSS-MULLER
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Professional Art Therapist
I have been passionate about the arts since childhood as a way to process and explore my emotions. I have worked as a practicing artist for over twenty years and have recognized how therapeutic and healing it can be. My own personal experience with post-partum led me on a new path of meaning and purpose in supporting others in the therapeutic space. Art provides a unique access to sensory processing and supports nervous system regulation. You don’t need words to express how you are feeling and art therapy can provide an avenue to explore trauma and subconscious thought in a way that is non-confrontational and regulating.
Therapy can be overwhelming, and I offer a space for curiosity, exploration and reflection. Art therapy supports a bottom-up approach and incorporates somatic characteristics including the mind-body connection. You don’t need to be an artist to benefit from art therapy. Together we can explore healing through a variety of media including drawing, paint, clay, collage and fibre.
I work with teens and adults and through art we can explore your internal world in order to gain a better understanding of who you are.
