Melissa Westoby is a Registered Dietitian with over 10 years of experience working with pre and postnatal women and families with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. She is passionate about teaching parents how to help their child enjoy a variety of nutritious foods and develop a positive relationship with food. She also has expertise in providing expectant moms with advice on how to eat well for a healthy pregnancy. In addition to helping families, Melissa enjoys working with childcare providers on menu planning and creating healthy eating environments.
Melissa obtained a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of British Columbia and completed her dietetic internship at Vancouver Coastal Health. She has worked as a public health dietitian specializing in Family Health since 2010. Prior to working in public health, she worked as a Registered Dietitian at St Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton and the North Hamilton Community Health Centre coordinating community-based prenatal nutrition programs.
