COVID-19 UPDATES

Despite the stay-at-home orders, commencing in Hamilton on Thursday April 8th, Blueberry Therapy will remain OPEN for both in-person (Physiotherapy and Registered Massage Therapy only) and virtual services (Lactation consulting and Physiotherapy) throughout Lockdown.

 

As per Ontario Regulation 82/20 under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, physiotherapy clinics in locked down areas can remain open for in-person appointments in keeping with restrictions in place for physical distancing, patient screening and infection control measures. Physiotherapy clinics in all regions in all levels of the government’s COVID-19 framework can remain open for in-person appointments.

 

We have taken all of the necessary precautions (and then some!) to ensure a safe environment for our therapists and clients.

 

To protect you and our staff we have put in place many safeguards, including:

  • Physical changes to the office: all client chairs are plastic and can be wiped down, plexiglass at reception, touchless hand dryers in bathrooms, creating distance between chairs

  • Processes: COVID Screen completed before every client visit and at the beginning of every workday for therapists, payments processed through credit cards or direct payment only, intake forms completed online

  • Scheduling: Limited number of therapists in the office each day, mandatory breaks between clients to allow for cleaning, scheduling may be completed in advance of the visit for future visits so each client will minimize their time in the office

  • Cleaning: mandatory cleaning protocols in place after each client and at the end of the day, cleaning of washroom after every visit, as per our usual process linens are changed between every client, proper hand hygiene before and after all client encounters

  • Personal Protective Equipment: All therapists will wear a mask and gloves and receive training on how to use this PPE effectively

  • Virtual Visits: we will continue to offer virtual visits to minimize risk and provide care for clients who would prefer to stay at home

 

  • Before Your Visit to the Office:

    • You will receive your COVID Screening questionaire with your 2-hour reminder email and be required to complete the form before your appointment.  

    • We will collect your information (either direct billing or credit card information or both) to make sure payment is touchless

    • We will help you to set up subsequent visits if you would like

  • Day of your In Person Visit:

    • We ask that you wait in your car until a couple of minutes before the start of your appointment

    • Clients will wear masks and hand sanitizer will be made available at our entrance.  If you require a mask we will have fabric masks that can be used.

    • Our administrative team will process your payment and email your receipt to your.
