Amabelle is a registered speech-language pathologist (SLP) with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
Amy graduated from McMaster University with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Prior to working as an S-LP, Amy worked as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Educator and a Professional Learning and Development Coach where she has extensive experience working with young children and their families and adult learners coming from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Amy adopts a family-centered approach to service provision and views parents and other significant adults in the children’s lives as partners and collaborators. She is committed to building capacity and developing a sense of agency in families- giving them a ‘voice’ and ‘choice’ in every step of their journey together.
Amy believes that at the heart of every therapy goal is the aim of improving life participation, which can be achieved by co-creating meaningful goals and experiences for children and their families.
